John Odgers was raised in Spy Hill, Saskatchewan. He played competitive hockey throughout his Junior eligibility, spending time with the Prince George Cougars and the Yorkton Terriers. As an Assistant Coach with the Terriers, John helped his team to win the Royal Bank Cup in 2014.
A shoulder injury brought John’s hockey career to an end, and his passion for strength training began. While he was pursuing his Bachelor’s degree at the University of Regina, John joined Trench Fitness. During his Undergrad, John also had the opportunity to spend a summer internship with the San Jose Sharks of the National Hockey League under the supervision of their strength and conditioning coaches.
Currently, John competes at the National level in the sport of Powerlifting. He has competed in 6 meets including 2 CPU National Championships.
A recent Undergraduate, John is now pursuing his Masters Degree at the University of Regina. John is active with his clients and groups and Trench, assists with the Sports Academy on Ochapowace First Nation and works with several sports teams at the University of Regina.
