“I have always considered myself an active person playing all kinds of sports, participating in different types of fitness classes, but never had the opportunity to focus on strength training. Strength training was always something I wanted to do, but I never made the time to do it, mainly because I didn’t know where or how to start. When I joined Trench in October 2012, I was most interested in learning how to lift correctly with good form. I found the group training at Trench to be fun, fast, highly intense and motivational. The support and guidance from the trainers as well as the support from the other particpants in the class was amazing. It truly met my expectations and after the first 12 weeks I was hooked! I continued on with group training and then decided to take the next step and go on the nutrition program. This was the game changer! I thought I was a realitvely healthy eater; however, under Erika’s guidance I learned how to improve my diet and balance my macro’s. What a learning curve! I now eat a balance of carbs, proteins and fats (I wasn’t eating near enough protein before) and found this is not a diet… it’s a simple lifestyle change. I never thought that diet played such a critical role in transforming the body, but it really does! I must say that I feel amazing and very healthy. I haven’t been sick a day in the last 18 months, have not had any injuries and, at 47 years old, feel that I have more energy than I did in my 20’s & 30’s! I would recommend Trench to anyone…. it’s a great program for people of all fitness levels and of all ages….the trainers are fantastic and it really is a place where everyone supports one another and you feel part of a ” fit family”!
