Unconditional love is simple in theory, but at the very heart of unconditional love lies selflessness; which is a difficult task to execute. I have been blessed to experience unconditional love on many levels. Life through unconditional love is a wondrous adventure that excites the very core of our being. This love is a dynamic and powerful energy that lifts us through the most difficult times. I am very excited to share with you a heart felt story of condonditional love and support from a member of our fitfam, ‘The Ginger’ Joe Brooker, and his mama Terri.

Love is beautiful and unpredictable. It begins with ourselves, for without self-love, we cannnot know what true love can be. In loving ourselves, we allow the feeling to generate within us and then we can share it with everyone and everything around us. When you love unconditionally it isn’t because the person you love is perfect, its because you begin to see an imperfect person perfectly.

Love is very important. When you find someone who loves you for “who you are”, its an amazing experience. Similarly it is rewardiing to love someone else “as they are” or as they “want to be”. I believe such a bond is priceless and should be nurtured with great affection.

I like to treat any relationship like a business. Its involves thought, reason and decisions. They require two individulas in communication, commitment and coopoperate exchange.

There is only one kind of love that can fill us up, make us whole, and give us the happiness we all want: unconditional or true love. Unconditional love is the idea that our affection for eachother is not based on a certain set of behaviours or characteristics. Its the kind of love that you have for a person not in spite of, but because of their flaws. This type of love is very selfless.

What does it mean to be selfless? Selfless love never asks “whats in it for me?” We become interested in things we have never before cared for and learn a new appreciation for things we never once thought of. The Ginger and his mama are doing a fun challenge. I invite you to check out her new blog where the details of the challenge as well as exclusive insider information will be posted. The bond between a mother and son is unconditional. A mother will love her son poor or rich, happy or sad, healthy or sick. That same kind of bond is possible on a romanitc level, it just takes work. You need to be with someone who is worth the work and the headache. When you find that someone who is worth your energy and heart, the selfless act of unconditional love is no longer selfless because their happiness and well being becomes a part of you.
