“In January of this year I started looking around for something to kick start my workout/eating routine. I had tried many different programs – Beach Body, Jamie Eason, a program through Evolution Fitness but nothing had really worked for me. I came across an ad on Facebook for the Trench Transformation Challenge. After checking out their website I decided that it was just what my husband and I needed. We had both gained weight and become somewhat inactive over the past few years. I go through a list of reasons why but they are likely similar to most other people – work, kids, hobbies, etc.

Overall I am happy with the progress I made – 15 lbs, 4 inches off my hips and 3 inches off my waist! I feel great, have more energy and my clothes fit better. When I went to Mexico with a friend this past December I had a hard time finding shorts in my wardrobe that fit. This past Tuesday when the weather turned nice I was able to wear every pair of shorts that I tried on! Although the number on the scale is a good indicator of progress, how my clothes fit and look has always been more important.

This process was not easy and I did stumble. There were times I ate and drank things that definitely put me over my macros but I would always get right back at it the next day and tried not to be too hard on myself. The COVID-19 pandemic and the gyms being closed also did not help and there were a few times that I considered saying “screw it” and going back to my old ways. But then I remembered how I looked and felt and I knew that would be the wrong choice. My husband and I put together a small home gym and I continued to do my workouts which Neil modified for the equipment that I had.

The daily weigh-ins and food logs along with the weekly measurements and submission to Neil provided me with the accountability that I needed. This challenge is not the end of my fitness journey but rather the beginning. I want to continue to maintain the progress I’ve made as well as make some new gains. I will likely sign up for anther 12 week program or fitness challenge in the future when gyms re-open. I enjoyed my time at Trench Fitness and enjoyed working with both Neil and Marty.”
