After having my second baby, I was honestly feeling scared that I was going to hit postpartum depression again so I turned to Trench Fitness. I was feeling very self-conscious and uncomfortable with the extra pregnancy weight that I was carrying. I knew I needed some guidance and extra support to make me feel happy and healthy again. Trench Fitness was just the support that I needed!
I joined Trench’s 12-week challenge as I thought would be a great move to recovery.
This was a big step for me as my daughter was 6 weeks old and my son was 1.5 years old; I was uncertain whether I could get my workouts in and cook healthy meals, without scarifying family time. However, after seeing the exercise and nutrition plan, I realized how flexible and easy it was to follow.
I will admit that the 12 weeks were definitely exhausting, challenging, and mentally frustrating at times. There were days that I wanted to give up. My daughter became colicky so there were many nights that I was up all night with her and then running on a few hours of sleep the next day. In these times, I reached out to Erika and she was able to accommodate my plan to better suit my needs. For example, being a new mother, there were times that I could not leave the house to go to gym so she modified my exercise plan to a home workout.
From week to week, I felt my confidence building and I started feeling like myself again. I am so happy that I decided to embark on this journey. I definitely pushed myself mentally and physically, which has made me a stronger person. Thank you, Trench Fitness, for the support and the reason for a happier me!
