All throughout my life, I have always struggled with my weight. I have gained and lost numerous times, and tried almost every diet there was on the market. I had resolved to myself that I was destined to be heavier with each year that passed. In the past I had been active and was a member of a gym, but no one could really tell or show me how to lose weight. With my upcoming 59th birthday, I was making excuses that women put on weight as they get older, and I was no different. It was then a good friend of mine introduced me to Trench Gym. She had been working out there and I could tell she had lost weight and was looking really good. She told me about your nutrition plan and introduced me to Scotty. I decided that I was ready for a change and may-be this time, it would be different.

When I first met with Scotty, I was almost embarrassed about my weight, but he made me feel comfortable and encouraged me with his understanding of weight loss and exercise. I decided to give a 12 week program a try. Since I had a friend to workout with, I hoped that I could be consistent enough with her help. The first workout that I did, I could hardly get through the warmup. My body was wobbling and weak, and I felt like I couldn’t do anything. But I persisted, and with my accountability to Scotty’s review of my plan weekly, I didn’t want to let him down. With each passing day, I found the exercises starting to get better. I saw myself losing weight almost immediately and I couldn’t believe I had to eat as much as I did. There were days I struggled to eat everything I needed to, but Scotty was patient and very encouraging. His weekly feedback helped me to keep focused and to commit to my weight loss journey.

After the first 12 weeks, I had lost 15 pounds and was feeling so much better about myself, so I decided to register for the 12 week challenge that was beginning. Now after losing a total of 29 pounds, I feel strong, I feel good, and after celebrating my 59th birthday, I have kept to my nutritional goals. I couldn’t have done it without Scotty encouraging me, helping with different exercises, answering questions about my nutritional goals, and of course the whole Trench team. I love this gym! I feel at home, the people are friendly, and the atmosphere is encouraging. I follow the Trench Instagram page and am always encouraged as I read the success stories, the nutritional information and of course, the amazing accomplishments of its members. I truly can stay that I have never been to a gym that is so family oriented. I could never have accomplished what I have without the knowledge and expertise of your staff. Thank-you for bringing the “real” me out from under the excess weight. I look forward to not only continuing with a third round of nutritional training, but also to continuing my weight loss journey.  I have since changed my views about weight gain with aging and have a new slogan, I am going to be an amazing 60! Having been on this journey for 6 months now,  I am excited to see where I will be on my 60th birthday. lean, muscular and in the best shape of my life. Thank-you Trench and Scotty for your support.
