If you could have been at my house this past Sunday your mouth would have been watering from the smell of freshly baked cookies in the oven.
But these are not just any ordinary cookies…
Oh no, they are high protein, low calorie:
Chocolate Chip Cream Cheese Cookies!
I don’t know about you, but I LOVE freshly baked home made cookies. They just fill your belly with delicious goodness that makes you feel warm and cozy all over. There’s nothing like sitting back with with tall glass of milk and savoring a soft and chewy freshly baked cookie that’s still warm from the oven… Yummmy!
These absolutely irresistible cream cheese cookies are some of the softest, chewiest, lightest, and most delicious cookies ever to come out of our kitchen…
Yet they have just 40 calories… and less than 2 grams of fat each…
Chocolate Chip Cream Cheese Cookies
1/3 cup plus 1/4 cup oat flour
1/4 tsp baking soda
2-3 tbsp chocolate chips
1/4 cup xylitol (46g)
3 tbsp low-fat cream cheese
1/2 tsp pure vanilla extract
1 tbsp coconut oil
Combine the ingredients then roll into balls. Place balls on a plate and freeze at least 30 minutes. When ready to bake, preheat oven to 325 F. Place balls on a prepared cookie sheet, press down if desired, and bake 8 minutes—they will look quite underdone when they first come out, do not even touch them for at least 10 minutes, during which time they will firm up.
